Company size: My judge has 2 law clerks, 1 secretary and 2 externs

Daily Job Routine: - I sit at a desk and literally research and write all day. Minus some interruptions to watch trials, oral arguments and sentencings, I go through pleadings of both parties and advise the judge on how he should rule with a bench memorandum

Pros

- Lots of responsibility. Essentially, I'm doing the same work as the law clerks.

- Chance to sit in and watch trials.

- Hear the judge's thoughts afterwards on the lawyers, arguments, etc.

- Really improve your legal research and writing skills.

- A lot of time to really work on quality product. No severe deadlines.
